Who's on Staff for 2012

Our staff -

As you can see, many of our staff have been at Wilvaken for a few years. They feel very much at home here, and help all the campers to feel the same. We are proud that so many young people return to Wilvaken to help pass the spirit on to your children.

The program staff-

The support staff-

Our support staff are Very Important People; They keep the campers well-fed and the facilities functional all day, every day.

Suzy Lachapelle is our head chef, with 11 years experience in our kitchen. Lorraine Laro returns this summer to assist Suzy. Lorraine was our head chef for 10 years, until she retired in 2008. Bored in her retirement, and missing Wilvy, she has decided to return in the (slightly) less demanding position of assistant chef.
Suzy's cuiz crew this year will be: Mélodie Langlois, (2nd year - the fourth generation of her family to work at Wilvaken), Etienne Walther-Paradis, Oli Balazs, and Kieran McLaverty.

Jim Meigs returns for his 4th year as our Mr Fixit man, to supervise the groundskeepers and generally keep the place happy. He will be assisted by Jean-Gab Chiasson and Jeremie Fluet. Jean-Gab was a camper from 2008 - 2010. Jeremie worked with Jim 2 years ago, so knows the ropes.

Our CITs -

Each year we have a select few 16-year-olds who return as Counsellors-In-Training. These former campers are always very enthusiastic about Wilvaken, and are keen to pass on the Wilvy Spirit. They are with us for the full 8 weeks of our season. Although they begin the summer in a training mode, by the end they are strong assistants to the staff.
