Method of Payment

All prices quoted in our information and on our invoices are expressed in Canadian dollars. For those from outside Canada, payment can be made in Euros or US dollars. If you have an account with an American bank, a cheque drawn on that account is fine; otherwise, we accept a US Dollar bank draft or money order drawn on an American bank. Please make sure that the ABA encoding is on your cheque or bank draft.
When we send an invoice, the details are in Canadian dollars, but we indicate the approximate USD or EUR equivalent to the total. Since exchange rates fluctuate somewhat, we credit your account in CAD based on the bank exchange rate we receive at the time of deposit of your payment.

Payment options are:

  1. personal EUR or USD cheques.
  2. Interac Email Money Transfer (IEMT) directly from your bank account. If you have an email address and on-line banking password at a participating financial institution, you can send and receive money quickly and easily.
Email carries the notice while the financial institutions securely transfer the money using existing payment networks. If your financial institution does not yet offer INTERAC Email Money Transfers, you can still deposit transfers to any bank account in Canada.
  3. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) direct to our bank account. You may arrange a direct transfer to our bank account.

Note that in addition to charges your bank may take for sending the transfer, our bank may deduct charges for receiving the transfer. We will credit your account with the amount deposited in our bank, which may be $10CAD to $25CAD less than what you thought you sent! IMPORTANT — Please fax or e-mail Wilvaken directly when you have made the deposit indicating the date and amount of the transaction – our bank does not always tell us who made the transfer!

Please email us for details if you wish to make payment by IEMT or EFT, or if you need a street address for courier service delivery.

Other Payment options: may be brought by you or your child on arrival day

  1. Traveller’s cheques in US dollars or Canadian dollars.
  2. Sending cash in Canadian or in American dollars with your child is also a possibility though not as safe.
