Our visiting days are Saturday: July 7th and August 4th. Should you be unable to visit on one of those days, please let us know and other arrangements could be made. We shall be updating how our visiting days will proceed for 2012 as they are also departure days for two week campers.
Visiting day begins at 10:00 am. We ask you to please not arrive till then. You may bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the Wilvaken site and beach, or you may take your child out for the afternoon.
Please inform the staff member at the lodge before taking a camper off the site. When returning you will be met at the barn to be checked in. If you wish to take out a non-family member (relative, or child of friends) we ask that you bring written permission from the parents. Written permissions can also be e-mailed or faxed to the office.
We invite families to stay for the horse show which normally would start around 10:30am on the last day of the first month and second month departure days. We also may have a water-ski show which would be weather dependent.
The beach will be available all afternoon for you and your family to enjoy. If you wish to use our canoes, kayaks or rowboats, check out with the staff at the boat beach – they will be pleased to assist you. Life jackets must be worn at all times. There will be a lifeguard on duty all day.
The directors will be there to meet you and discuss any difficulties that you or your child may be having at camp or just generally help you catch up with what has been going on.
For those campers who will not have visitors, we will have activities on-going throughout the day. This is a relaxing day for all as it is free choice all day long.
We regret that space limitations do not permit us to invite parents to join us in the lodge for meals. Please return your child to camp by 5:00 PM so they can join in the evening program.
