Summers to remember... since 1958!

...Des étés inoubliables!

Wilvaken is a private, bilingual, co-ed summer camp for 100 young people ages 6 to 16. Our site is a pristine,100-acre forested property on the shores of Lake Lovering, in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec (130 km south-east of Montreal QC, Canada). The majority of campers and staff are from the Montreal area; but many young people come to Wilvaken from Latin America, Europe, and Asia, for sessions of 2 to 8 weeks duration.

welcome

At Wilvaken, young people practise –

  • Nature skills – hiking, canoeing, camping, appreciation of the environment.
  • Outdoor sports – sailing, riding, windsurfing, waterskiing, swimming, and more.
  • English and French, in a bilingual milieu.
  • Self-confidence, independance, and social skills.

– in a fun and secure environment.

Perhaps the most important things that young people get from Wilvaken, however, are the friendships and experiences that they will carry with them for a lifetime. Campers and staff from early years still stay in touch with us and each other (we've been a family-run camp since 1958). They tell us that their time at Wilvaken was among the most memorable of their entire youth.

Wilvaken is accredited by both the Quebec and Ontario Camp Associations, which ensure that standards are respected with regard to safety, health, staffing, cleanliness, kitchen, and activities, as well as business practices and ethics.

“I have to tell you that these last six summers at Wilvaken were a great learning (and teaching) experience for me. I often try to imagine who I would be if I had never been at camp. It seems that most of the principles that guide me and the values I stand for come either from my family, or from Wilvaken, my second family. Camp helped me in forging my personality, my identity."
— former camper, CIT, and counsellor
